Nichols Research, Inc. offers translation equipment for focus groups conducted in foreign languages. The focus groups are translated into English and recorded onto audiotape and, if requested, videotape.
A translator seated behind the one way mirror listens to the groups in the native tongue through headphones and speaks the translation loud enough for the observers to hear. The translation is recorded onto audiotape through a microphone placed in front of the translator. The audiotapes of the translation plus the audiotapes recorded in the native tongue are given to the client at the end of the night.
Additional headphones are supplied for anyone who wishes to listen to the focus groups in the foreign language.
Translators are provided upon request.
